A review of Eugene, OR's Amazon Organics. Photos by Nate Williams.

Strains - 4/5

Amazon Organics has a nice variety of strains grown in-house by Herban Tribe. All flower on the shelves is organically produced without pesticides. SFV OG, Gorilla Glue, Candyland and Cherry Kush were some of the great strains available. Prices range from $8-$15/g before tax.

Edibles - 4/5

The edible selection was rather sparse, however they did have That Taffys, Squibs, Gaia and Grön. Prices ranged from $14-$80 for an array of chocolates, tinctures and taffies. Recreational consumers can now purchase up to 16 ounces of edibles that contain no more than 50mg THC per package and 5mg THC per dose.

Concentrates - 5/5

The Orelap Program has slowed testing all over Oregon, making it exceedingly difficult to keep tested extracts on the shelf. Despite these supply delays, the shop had a few nice flavors to offer. Extracts from Beehive Extracts and Herban Tribe were on the shelf in the form of BHO and CO2. Prices ranged from $40-$100 before tax.

Environment - 5/5

The waiting room at Amazon Organics is a little on the small side, however, the medicine room is spacious and open with multiple display counters that allow for a quick flow of customers at busy times.

Overall - 17/20

Amazon Organics has been serving the south Eugene community for a few years now. The friendly staff, quality prices and compassionate ownership make this shop one of the go-to destinations when in the Eugene area.

amazon-organics-sfv-og-score-2.jpgSFV OG is one of the classic OG cuts originating out of the heart of the San Fernando Valley. This strain boasts bright-orange hairs and a lemon Pine-Sol funk that can be detected from miles away. I rolled up a few joints and loved how each one burned smoothly and cleanly, exhibiting a pure white ash. The effects are uplifting, yet relaxing, making this a very functional strain for me. I’d recommend this strain to most recreational users, as the effects are a relaxing combination of cerebral euphoria and sedative effects. ($15/g)

amazon-organics-kosher-score.jpgThis Kosher Tangie CO2 Oil is the best-tasting CO2 that I’ve ever experienced. Each hit tastes like someone squeezed a fresh tangerine straight into my mouth. Each pull contains a rich, smooth hit of vapor that is both flavorful and potent. The “Kanger Tech” pen allows for vaporizing at multiple temperatures and lengths with an incredibly durable battery that lasts for a few hundred hits. The effect is energetic and uplifting, perfect for daytime use. ($80)
