Glass Art: Wig Wag Tube & Ganja Berries

September 03, 2017 | NORTHWEST LEAF

The glass art of the month comes from The Glass Maker and Medusa Glass. Photos by Daniel Berman.

This tube stands at just 5.25” tall and features a UV reactive dichro accent with single implosion marble, plus an aesthetically pleasing and complex array of multicolored wig wags.

Medusa Glass was founded by Jason Lydy, who began lampworking in 2015 after he was inspired by a good friend. While brainstorming ideas with a Pacific Northwest theme, he focused on the late summer local fruit, blackberries. Paired with a pot leaf, the ganja berry was born. Jason crafted each berry pendant pictured. The bite-sized mini rig and directional cab caps are a collaboration with Pablo Flux Glass.
