Boistered by good weather and attendance, the world’s largest Cannabis and hemp protestival returned to the Seattle waterfront for three days of activism, seminars, tradeshow sideshows and of course, smoking the reefer. As the event turns a quarter-century, we recognize that things have gotten better in many ways in Washington state — however, the need for decriminalization and reasonable regulation of hemp production and research around the world grows more dire every day. That’s why the event lives on in our legalized, recreational age. Because Cannabis is against the law on the great majority of the planet and it is still worth fighting for.
